Free the glass, match every pin, and keep the cascade going.
About Pin Cascade
Pin Cascade is a calm but tactical browser puzzle built around layered glass plates. Each plate is held in place by colorful pins. Tap a visible pin to unscrew it; pins travel into a matching color box, and three matching pins clear that box. When every pin on a plate is gone, the plate drops away and reveals another layer beneath it. Pins can also wait in the five holding slots, but those slots are limited. If all five are full and another pin has nowhere to go, the round ends. As soon as a matching color box enters the board, every waiting pin of that color settles into it automatically; the clear-slot hammer removes all held pins when the board needs room. The extra-slot, melt-glass, and clear-slot helpers can recover a crowded board. Every level is generated from its level number and has no upper limit. The soundtrack is a procedural pin-workshop loop generated in the browser, with matching tap, box, plate and tool cues, and the game supports touch, mouse, and keyboard.
How to play
- Tap a visible colored pin to unscrew it from the glass.
- Fill a matching color box with three pins to clear the box and reveal the next color.
- If a pin has no matching box yet, it waits in a holding slot and settles automatically when that color box appears.
- Clear a whole plate to make it fall and expose the pins beneath.
- Use helpers when the holding slots become crowded; empty help counts reset next level.
- Keyboard users can Tab to each visible pin and press Enter or Space.
Pixel workshop, sound and privacy
The glass plates are rasterised into a low-resolution pixel board, so every edge lands
on a hard pixel instead of a smooth vector outline. Pins, boxes, holding slots, tools and
dialogs use the same 16px pixel system, with light and dark workshop scenes generated from
games/pin-cascade/art-brief.json. Tap, box clear, plate drop, invalid pin, helper,
pause and completion each have a matching animation and a procedural sound cue. The gentle
workshop score starts only after a gesture, follows the Shell sound control, and stops when
paused or hidden. No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts run inside the iframe. Only
the next level and best score are saved through game:save; when the Host reports
minimal storage, the game remains fully playable without saving.
